Product Description

Meet the new 2015 Finn smartphone mount from Bike Citizens. Whenever we meet customers at shows and events we always get asked do we produce something to attach your phone to handlebars. To be honest we had consistently resisted the temptation up until we found the Finn. We thought it unlikely that anything could do the job effectively and in particular combined with our iPacs. This new model for 2015 is longer and stronger to fitter the larger phones such as the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus and does the job brilliantly.

We came across the Finn smartphone mount in a review just before Christmas in 2013 and were taken by the enthusiasm of the reviewer, and the glowing report he gave the product. Four weeks later it was here, available exclusively in the UK on this website, and a winner of a coveted Eurobike 2014 product award and upgraded for 2015.

There is not much else to say about Finn other than it is made in Austria and offers the user a free Bike Citizens city guide with every purchase. The App is available at Google Play for Android phones and the Apple App Store for iPhones.

I’ve been using a Finn mount for the last two months, since they launched. I’ve used both an Android (SEM Xperia Arc) and an iPhone 5, both ‘naked’ and inside a PocPac. The Finn mount works very well indeed – my longest ride was 80km over not-so-smooth Hampshire roads at speeds of up to 60kph. The Finn held the phone solidly, I was able to use the touchscreen and buttons without it moving around too. The silicone rubber is both strong and grippy. Here’s a review of my first impressions, as fitted to both a roadbike and a Dutch bike:

For £10 you will not find a better way of mounting any phone to any bike, in a few seconds. The only other options are bespoke cases unique to each phone or glue-on mounts that stay permanently attached, and these cost 5 times the price.

No, I don’t work for PocPac. The product does what it says, and does it very well at a low price. That’s worth sharing.

I was off on a January cycling holiday and had downloaded an App with local cycle routes and wanted something to hold the mobile on the bars. The Finn cycle mount looked worth a try. With my whole world on my iPhone the thought of it pinging off on a bumpy descent was troubling me so gave it a quick test ride and it worked well. After 6 days riding up and down the Spanish mountains and some very dodgy road surfaces it perfromed well and did exactly what it said on the tin. Easy to fit, it kept the Phone held on really securely, no bouncing around and there were no annoying noises. For £9.99 a great little buy.
